Paytm has introduced a major redesign of its mobile payments app, bringing a cleaner interface, AI-driven money management tools, digital rewards, and improved navigation to enhance the overall user experience. The fintech leader says the updated app is lighter, faster, and more intuitive, enabling users to track finances, make payments, and manage rewards with greater ease.
The redesigned interface reorganizes menus and shortcuts to make frequently used features more accessible. A new “Total Balance” dashboard provides a unified view of all linked bank accounts, allowing users to check their available funds instantly without switching apps.
AI Tools for Smarter Spending
The updated Paytm app uses artificial intelligence to automatically categorize transactions—such as groceries, bills, shopping, and travel—helping users understand and manage their spending patterns. A Monthly Spend Summary offers visual insights into expenses, while the Smart Payment Search feature allows users to locate transactions by name, amount, payment type, or note. The newly added Payment Location tool also helps users identify where each payment was made.
“We have introduced the all-new Paytm app with a cleaner design, new AI-led experience, and innovations that make it the best payments app. With this, we are bringing intelligence to payments, where the app understands your spending, organises it automatically, and helps you manage it better. We are also giving Gold Coins on every payment, redeemable into real digital gold, so that every Paytm payment becomes a golden one. Built in India for every Indian, this is our next step in making payments truly smarter,” said Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder and CEO, Paytm
Paytm has introduced convenience-driven features such as Magic Paste, which automatically detects and fills copied payment details from messages or apps, and a Receive Money widget that displays a personal QR code directly on the home screen.
Digital Gold Rewards & NRI Payments Support
A key highlight of the update is the Gold Coins Rewards program, where users earn digital coins for every transaction. These can be converted into digital gold, integrating rewards with investment opportunities. The app also expands support for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) across 12 countries, enabling them to make payments in India using their NRE/NRO bank accounts without additional forex charges.
Adding a fun touch, Paytm Playback uses AI to convert recent expenses into a custom rap track, offering a playful, personalized user experience. With these enhancements, Paytm aims to reinforce its position as a leading digital payments and fintech platform in India, offering faster, smarter, and more rewarding financial interactions.
