TWID Powers ₹100+ Crore in Consumer Savings in 2025 as Rewards Go Mainstream for Daily Spending

TWID has recorded a breakout year in 2025, with users redeeming over 5 billion reward points and unlocking ₹100+ crore in real savings across everyday transactions.

Once limited to occasional splurges, loyalty and credit card rewards are now fuelling daily spending. Consumers using TWID converted dormant points into instant value, with credit card reward redemptions alone driving nearly USD 250 million in spend across the network. Active reward usage more than doubled year-on-year, signalling a decisive shift in how Indians use rewards.

Groceries Take the Lead as Rewards Meet Real Life
Food and groceries topped all categories, delivering the highest value for consumers. Users saved an average 8% per order, followed by bill payments and utilities (7.8%), e-commerce (7.2%), and travel (6.9%). The trend highlights a growing preference for high-frequency, low-value redemptions, where rewards enhance everyday affordability rather than one-time purchases.

“Rewards are no longer something you wait to use — they’re something you use every day. By embedding rewards directly into the payment flow, we’re reshaping consumer behaviour and building a smarter, more rewarding digital payments ecosystem in India,” said Rishi Batra, Co-founder & COO, TWID.

TWID data shows that users who redeemed rewards recorded a 15%+ increase in spending and transaction frequency, along with 30% higher retention. For merchants and issuers, this translated into stronger customer lifetime value and more efficient marketing and acquisition costs.

UPI Momentum Fuels Everyday Rewards
This growth mirrors India’s booming UPI-led digital payments landscape. In FY 2024–25, UPI processed 185.9 billion transactions, up 41.7% year-on-year, accounting for 84% of retail digital payment volumes. Everyday payments — groceries, bills, and utilities — continue to dominate, making rewards at the point of payment increasingly relevant.

In October 2025, TWID launched its UPI-based rewards app on Android and iOS, enabling users to redeem reward points instantly at checkout — whether scanning QR codes at physical stores or paying online. The app connects a wide network of merchants, banks, and issuers, turning fragmented loyalty points into real, everyday savings.

As digital payments scale, TWID is fast becoming the rewards layer of India’s payment stack, making every transaction more rewarding.
