Completion of the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Accenture has announced an agreement to acquire Faculty, a leading UK-based AI-native services and products company, as part of its strategy to significantly scale enterprise artificial intelligence (AI), decision intelligence, and AI safety capabilities. The acquisition will strengthen Accenture’s ability to help organizations reinvent core business processes using secure, responsible, and high-impact AI solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.

Founded in 2014, Faculty has built a strong reputation for deploying applied AI solutions across the public and private sectors in the UK and other key global markets. Its offerings span AI strategy consulting, AI safety and governance, machine learning system design, and large-scale AI implementation, enabling organizations to adopt AI responsibly and at scale.

Strengthening Accenture’s AI and Responsible AI Portfolio
A key differentiator for Faculty is its deep commitment to AI safety and ethical AI by design. The company embeds safeguards across the entire AI lifecycle—from model development, validation, and deployment to monitoring and decision-making—addressing critical risks such as algorithmic bias, data privacy, and lack of model explainability.

Faculty collaborates with leading AI research labs, including OpenAI and Anthropic, and works closely with institutions such as the UK AI Security Institute to conduct baseline safety assessments for general-purpose and generative AI models. This expertise will further enhance Accenture’s leadership in trusted AI, governance frameworks, and regulatory-compliant AI deployment.

Talent and Leadership Integration
Upon completion of the acquisition, Faculty’s team of more than 400 AI professionals, including highly skilled data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI researchers, will join Accenture’s global workforce. This integration will significantly expand Accenture’s capacity to deliver world-class AI transformation programs across industries.

As part of the transaction, Marc Warner, Founder and CEO of Faculty, will become Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Accenture and join the company’s Global Management Committee, while continuing to serve as CEO of Faculty. Warner brings a distinguished background, having previously served as a Research Fellow in Quantum Physics at Harvard University, a member of the UK AI Council, and on the court of Imperial College London.

Accelerating Decision Intelligence with Faculty Frontier
Following the acquisition, Faculty Frontier], Faculty’s enterprise decision intelligence platform, will be integrated into Accenture’s portfolio of AI-powered solutions. Frontier enables organizations to make faster, data-driven decisions by connecting enterprise data, advanced AI models, simulation, and optimization tools into a unified decision system.

Accenture and Faculty are already collaborating with global clients, including Novartis, where Frontier is being used to transform clinical trial planning and execution, improving efficiency, cost structures, and outcomes in the life sciences and healthcare sectors.

Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO of Accenture, said, “With Faculty, we are accelerating our strategy to bring trusted, advanced AI to the heart of our clients’ businesses. I am delighted to welcome the Faculty team to Accenture and look forward to Marc Warner’s leadership in shaping our global technology vision as Chief Technology Officer.”

Marc Warner, CEO of Faculty, added, “Our mission has always been to ensure that safe AI delivers widespread benefits to society. As AI adoption accelerates, organizations are looking to fundamentally reinvent their businesses. By joining forces with Accenture, we can support end-to-end AI transformation—from strategy and safety to large-scale execution.”

Real-World Impact and AI at Scale
Faculty is widely recognized for applying AI in mission-critical environments. Notably, during the COVID-19 pandemic, it developed the UK National Health Service’s Early Warning System, which was used daily by NHS leadership to predict patient demand and optimize critical care resource allocation nationwide.

Accenture also plans to scale the Faculty’s Fellowship Program, a structured initiative that helps STEM PhD and master’s graduates and postdoctoral researchers transition from academia into industry AI roles. Building on its success in the UK, Accenture intends to expand the program globally for both employees and clients.
