Axis Unveils AXIS C1710 & C1720 Network Display Speakers for Advanced Audio-Visual Alerts

Axis Communications has announced the launch of two multifunctional display speakers—the AXIS C1710 Network Display Speaker and the AXIS C1720 Network Display Speaker (dual-sided corridor model). These advanced audio-visual communication devices are designed to deliver clear public address messaging through a powerful speaker, customizable LED strobe bar, and high-visibility text display—ideal for schools, healthcare facilities, transportation hubs, and other public spaces.

Built on open standards for seamless integration, the AXIS C17 Series connects easily with third-party mass notification systems, enabling both routine announcements and critical emergency alerts. These network speakers allow full customization of visual and audio components, with configurable strobe colors, text animations, and audio playback. For example, users can combine live voice announcements with flashing lights for emergencies or create silent visual alerts for sensitive environments.

Both models incorporate built-in digital signal processing (DSP) for high-quality sound reproduction, supporting live announcements, event-triggered alerts, scheduled messages, bell tones, sirens, and background music—even in challenging acoustic environments. The display units offer automatic brightness adjustment and flexible text styling for optimal readability in varied lighting conditions.

Key capabilities include two-way full-duplex audio with echo cancellation, remote health monitoring, content prioritization, audio zoning, and easy scalability for large deployments. The AXIS C1710 includes a wall mount, while the AXIS C1720 offers optional wall and ceiling mounts for corridor installations. Installation is designed for speed and safety, with a secure mounting bracket system that frees both hands for connecting the PoE cable and fastening the unit.
