New survey reveals that while most Dubai consumers trust businesses with their data, 44% would stop engaging with a company after a cyber breach.
Commvault has announced its participation at GITEX Global 2025, where it will unveil its latest AI-driven cybersecurity and data recovery innovations. The announcement coincides with the release of new consumer survey findings, revealing that trust in data protection remains high in Dubai, but fragile.
According to the survey conducted by Censuswide for Commvault, 71% of Dubai consumers believe that organizations are doing enough to protect and recover their data after a breach. However, 44% said they would stop doing business with a company that suffered a cyberattack, underscoring the growing importance of cyber resilience and data recovery readiness.
Cybersecurity Confidence vs. Cloud Complexity
In contrast to the multi-national survey average, where only 50% of respondents across France, Germany, and the UAE expressed confidence in data protection practices, Dubai’s respondents showed higher trust. Yet, 49% of skeptics cited the difficulty of securing data across multiple cloud and hybrid environments as a major concern.
The results emphasize that while businesses are improving, consumer trust in cybersecurity is conditional — a single ransomware attack or data breach could cause significant brand and financial damage. As AI adoption and cloud expansion accelerate, the need for robust cybersecurity frameworks and resilient data recovery mechanisms becomes critical.
Commvault to Showcase Cyber Resilience Platform at GITEX 2025
At GITEX Global 2025 (Hall 5, Stand C20), Commvault will demonstrate Commvault Cloud, its cutting-edge cyber resilience platform designed to safeguard enterprises against ransomware and cyber threats.
The platform integrates:
- AI-driven automation for proactive threat detection
- Immutable storage and Cleanroom Recovery for secure restoration
- Cloud Rewind and Active Directory forest-level recovery for continuity across multi-cloud environments
These innovations enable organizations to detect cyber threats early, recover without reinfection, and maintain business continuity during sophisticated attacks.
“This survey clearly shows that while customers trust businesses to secure their data, more needs to be done. If your business is in the cloud, then the cloud is your business. At GITEX, we’ll demonstrate how AI-powered tools and multi-environment data protection can ensure true cyber resilience,” said Fady Richmany, Corporate Vice President, Emerging Markets, Commvault.
At GITEX Global 2025, Commvault will also highlight ransomware recovery strategies, AI-based incident response, and how enterprises can operate with continuous cyber readiness in an evolving threat landscape.
