Amid rising concerns over data security in AI adoption, Deloitte India has launched GenW.AI, an indigenous, next-generation low-code platform designed to help enterprises rapidly prototype and deploy applications, dashboards, workflows and AI agents at scale.
The platform was unveiled at the India AI Impact Summit 2026. Speaking at the launch, Romal Shetty, Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte South Asia, acknowledged enterprise concerns around AI-driven data usage. “There is discomfort among enterprises regarding data security and how to protect it,” Shetty said, underscoring that trust and governance remain central to AI adoption strategies.
Built for Enterprise-Grade AI Deployment
GenW.AI is designed to reflect real-world enterprise operating environments. From IT-managed services handling ticket workflows to HR teams screening CVs and tracking fulfilment metrics, the platform integrates automation with intelligence to enable scalable, domain-specific AI solutions.
Its low-code architecture aims to:
- Accelerate development cycles
- Reduce reliance on large engineering teams
- Enable rapid deployment of customised AI applications
- Integrate with multiple large language models (LLMs)
Data Sovereignty and Deployment Flexibility
A core differentiator of GenW.AI is its deployment flexibility. Available both on-premises and in the cloud, the platform allows enterprises to retain full control over their intellectual property and data—addressing a primary barrier to AI adoption.
Shetty emphasized the broader philosophy behind the launch: AI must not be concentrated in the hands of a few geographies or corporations. “AI can’t be fiefdoms of a few countries. It is about how we conceptualise it and has to be affordable. We can do it at one-tenth the cost of anything done in the world,” he said.
Internal Adoption and Client Momentum
Deloitte has already piloted GenW.AI internally, training nearly 30,000 employees over a six-month period. Early client engagements are underway, including innovation hackathons conducted with a large banking institution that generated more than 160 potential AI use cases.
The launch of GenW.AI signals Deloitte India’s strategic push to combine affordability, data sovereignty and enterprise-grade governance—positioning indigenous AI infrastructure as a viable alternative in a rapidly evolving global AI ecosystem.
