Delta Air Lines is enhancing its in-flight entertainment by partnering with YouTube Premium, giving passengers access to ad-free videos, playlists, podcasts, and music during flights. Starting October 1, travelers on more than 930 Delta aircraft will enjoy free YouTube Premium streaming via Delta Sync Wi-Fi, available on both seatback screens and personal devices. SkyMiles members also receive a complimentary 14-day YouTube Premium trial as part of this multiyear collaboration.
Julieta McCurry, Delta’s VP of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity, said the partnership was designed to meet customer demand: “Our customers love YouTube. Delta and YouTube are uniquely positioned to deliver an unmatched travel experience.”
The rollout includes content from top creators like MrBeast, chef Nick DiGiovanni, motivational speaker Mel Robbins, and family-friendly channels such as Mother Goose Club. Delta is also offering a custom YouTube Music playlist curated by its flight attendants, designed to make boarding more engaging and stress-free.
YouTube’s VP of Product Partnerships, Miguel Quiroga, highlighted that the collaboration aligns with both brands’ missions of connecting people with experiences and content worldwide.
This move builds on Delta’s recent efforts to elevate the passenger experience, including the introduction of Shake Shack meals on select flights in 2024. With YouTube Premium now available, Delta is transforming flights into binge-worthy streaming sessions, rivaling the comfort of home entertainment.
