Flipkart Black Membership Launched: Free YouTube Premium, Exclusive Deals, and Travel Perks

With Flipkart Black, the company is clearly moving to strengthen its subscription services in India, offering a one-stop membership for e-commerce, entertainment, and travel.

Flipkart has officially launched its new Flipkart Black Membership in India, positioning it as a premium subscription plan that blends shopping rewards, entertainment benefits, and travel perks. Priced at ₹1,499 per year—with an introductory offer of ₹990—the plan takes aim at enhancing customer loyalty while competing with similar subscription ecosystems like Amazon Prime.

Free YouTube Premium and Entertainment Benefits
The biggest highlight of Flipkart Black is its complimentary YouTube Premium subscription worth ₹1,490. Members can enjoy ad-free streaming, offline downloads, and background playback on a single account for an entire year. This integration makes Flipkart Black particularly appealing for users who value entertainment alongside shopping benefits.

Shopping Rewards with SuperCoins
Subscribers get 5% SuperCoins cashback (up to ₹100 per transaction) on Flipkart and Flipkart Minutes purchases, with the opportunity to earn up to 800 SuperCoins every month. These SuperCoins can be redeemed for discounts or cashback, with an additional 5% discount on SuperCoins transactions capped at ₹1,000. Members also enjoy priority customer support, early access to Flipkart sales, and exclusive discounts on premium electronics.

Travel Perks with Cleartrip
Flipkart Black also extends into the travel segment, offering Cleartrip flight cancellations and rescheduling services at just Re. 1, making it a convenient add-on for frequent flyers.

Flipkart Plus vs Flipkart Black
While Flipkart Plus continues as a free, tier-based loyalty program offering basic rewards and cashback, Flipkart Black membership adds premium layers of entertainment, shopping discounts, and travel services, providing more value for heavy shoppers and lifestyle users.

According to Rahat Patel, Vice President at Flipkart, the Black membership was designed to deliver “greater customer convenience by combining shopping, entertainment, and travel benefits.” Flipkart also hinted at expanding the benefits further, making this plan a central part of its subscription ecosystem.
