Huawei Egypt Launches 6th HiRE Forum to Empower Youth Under the Patronage of Egypt’s ICT and Labor Ministries

Over 100 companies join Huawei’s flagship recruitment expo to connect certified tech talent with job opportunities and drive Egypt’s digital transformation.

Huawei Egypt, a global leader in information and communications technology (ICT) solutions, hosted the 6th edition of its flagship Huawei iTB Recruitment Expo (HiRE) under the auspices of Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and Ministry of Labor.

Held under the theme “Your Gateway to Tomorrow’s Industry,” the event brought together over 100 local, regional, and international companies to connect Egyptian youth with leading employers and help them build careers in future-ready technology fields such as 5G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Big Data, and Data Communication (DataCom).

Empowering Egypt’s Youth for a Digital Future
HiRE6 is part of Huawei’s broader effort to bridge the gap between education and employment by connecting graduates of Huawei ICT Academies and the Huawei–NTI Egypt Talent Academy (ETA) with top companies across various industries.

Through this initiative, Huawei offers hands-on training and certification programs that prepare young people for high-demand tech careers, equipping them with practical knowledge in AI, 5G, Cloud, Big Data, and ICT infrastructure.

A Public–Private Partnership for Digital Transformation
His Excellency Mohamed Gibran, Minister of Labor, emphasized that HiRE6 represents a model of effective collaboration between government and the private sector in preparing Egypt’s youth for the future digital economy. He highlighted that Egypt Vision 2030 places strong emphasis on investing in young people, calling them “the cornerstone of sustainable development and digital transformation.”

The Minister praised Huawei’s contributions to reskilling and upskilling programs, which empower youth and people of determination through specialized ICT training and international certifications. He added that such partnerships are vital for creating high-quality jobs and aligning workforce capabilities with the needs of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Building Human Capital through Strategic Education Partnerships
Dr. Ahmed Khattab, Director of the National Telecom Institute (NTI), highlighted the longstanding partnership between Huawei and NTI as a model of public-private cooperation that invests in Egypt’s human capital. He explained that this collaboration has led to the creation of the Huawei ICT Talent Bank (ITB) in 2019, which trained and accredited 1,700 instructors who, in turn, educated 60,000 young Egyptians across 160 Huawei ICT Academies nationwide.

In 2024, Huawei and NTI launched the Egypt Talent Academy (ETA) to train 15,000 youth in advanced technologies over five years, as well as the Fiber Optic Technologies Academy, which has already trained 3,000 engineers and technicians to support Egypt’s digital infrastructure projects.

Huawei’s Commitment to Building Egypt’s Digital Workforce
Mr. Dou Yong, Senior Vice President of Huawei Egypt, reaffirmed Huawei’s mission to empower Egyptian youth and help them succeed in the digital job market. He said, “At Huawei, we believe investing in youth is the foundation of Egypt’s digital future. Through HiRE6, we continue to empower talented Egyptians with global-standard digital skills and connect them with top employers—supporting Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the country’s journey toward a sustainable, innovation-driven economy.”

Eng. Asmaa Serag, Executive Director of Huawei ICT Academies Egypt, added that HiRE is a cornerstone of Huawei’s capacity-building strategy, aiming to make Egypt a regional hub for digital talent.

This year’s HiRE edition adopted an innovative hybrid model, allowing companies to post job opportunities online for a full month and receive applications from a wider pool of certified candidates.

During the event, Huawei hosted a special panel titled “Women in Tech,” spotlighting the growing role of women in AI, ICT, and digital innovation. Speakers included:
Dr. Eman Serag El-Din, Director of ETA and Head of the AI Ambassadors Program
Dr. Lamia El-Fadaly, Huawei Most Valuable Instructor and Professor at MSA University
Eng. Nadine Abdallah, member of Huawei’s HCIP community

Additionally, seven companies were honored for their outstanding contribution to supporting youth employment, while NTI instructors received recognition for their impactful training efforts within the Egypt Talent Academy.

A Bridge Between Education and Employment
With over 100 participating companies, including Telecom Egypt, Banque Misr, National Bank of Egypt, Ecotel, TeleTech, and METRA, the Huawei HiRE6 Forum successfully bridged the gap between academia and industry, offering Egyptian youth a direct pathway to high-growth digital careers.

Through continued partnerships and skill-building initiatives, Huawei remains committed to empowering Egypt’s next generation of innovators and supporting the country’s transition to a knowledge-based digital economy.
