Instax Wide Evo: A Stylish, Smarter Instant Camera for Selective Printing

The Instax Wide Evo Premium Edition is a new and improved version of Fujifilm’s instant cameras. Priced at ₹37,499, it’s a perfect choice for photography lovers who enjoy a mix of fun and nostalgia.

I’ve always liked Instax cameras, but never found a regular reason to use them—other than taking pictures of my son and pinning them to the fridge. That’s because I enjoy capturing landscapes and editing them, which Instax cameras weren’t ideal for—until I tried the Instax Wide Evo.

This camera keeps the classic Instax look but adds new features that make it feel more premium and stylish. It’s easy to carry to parties or weddings. It comes with two dials—one to select film style and another for lens effects. There’s also a dial for printing photos and a unique shutter button. A toggle on the front lets you activate the wide format feature, which makes this camera stand out. It also has a 3.5-inch screen at the back.

What I liked most is that, unlike older Instax models, this one doesn’t force you to print every photo right after taking it. You can choose which photos to print later using the print dial. Photos that have already been printed show a small icon so you don’t print them again by mistake.

I even took this camera on a short trip to the US, snapping some great shots—without loading any film. I planned to choose my favourites and print them once I got back to India. The image quality is surprisingly good, with bright, vibrant colours—not something you’d normally expect from instant print cameras.

The Instax Wide Evo is a smart, stylish instant camera that gives you more control and better photo quality.
