Multi-year partnership will enable mid-market businesses to build secure, industry-specific AI agents and bring Intuit’s financial expertise directly into Claude environments.

Intuit Inc. has announced a multi-year strategic partnership with Anthropic, the AI safety company behind Claude. The collaboration will bring customizable AI agents to mid-market businesses on the Intuit platform and deliver highly personalized financial experiences for consumers and enterprises, whether operating within Intuit’s ecosystem or Anthropic’s environments.

Powered by Intuit’s decades of domain expertise and proprietary financial data models, businesses will be able to build and configure secure, compliant AI agents using Anthropic’s Claude Agent SDK directly within the Intuit platform—without requiring deep technical resources. At the same time, Intuit’s trusted tax, finance, accounting, and marketing capabilities will be surfaced natively within Anthropic products, including Cowork, Claude for Enterprise, and Claude.ai.

Custom AI Agents for Mid-Market Businesses
By integrating the Claude Agent SDK into the Intuit platform, the companies are introducing a differentiated capability tailored specifically to mid-market organizations. Businesses across sectors will be able to deploy AI agents engineered around their operational requirements, regulatory obligations, and industry-specific workflows.

These agents extend beyond basic automation. They are designed to combine third-party operational data with Intuit’s financial system of record to generate contextual insights and trigger intelligent actions. For example, a multi-location restaurant group could orchestrate a custom agent within Intuit Enterprise Suite that aggregates sales and inventory data alongside payroll, food costs, and workforce hours to automatically identify margin variances and flag underperforming locations. Similarly, a regional construction subcontractor managing significant annual project volume could deploy an agent that connects project timelines, lien documentation, subcontractor payments, and customer communications to cash flow forecasting—automatically highlighting billing gaps and compliance deadlines to enable faster, data-driven decisions.

Intuit Financial Intelligence Embedded Within Claude
Through secure integrations across TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, Intuit’s financial intelligence will be embedded directly within Anthropic’s ecosystem. Claude users will be able to access tax, accounting, invoicing, payments, and marketing workflows from within Cowork, Claude for Enterprise, and Claude.ai, leveraging Intuit’s cross-platform system of intelligence.

For example, a solopreneur could upload transaction data into Claude and, using Intuit’s invoicing and payments capabilities, instantly generate a professional invoice with integrated payment functionality. A consumer could connect financial data to Claude to estimate a tax refund using TurboTax tools, schedule time with an AI-powered TurboTax expert, and receive guidance on optimizing debt repayment—all within a unified workflow.

Alex Balazs, Chief Technology Officer of Intuit, stated, “This is a groundbreaking partnership. With Anthropic, we’re bringing the power of Intuit’s platform to deliver benefits tailored to the unique needs of every consumer and business, wherever they choose to work. By combining our proprietary data and domain-specific services with AI models designed for security, accuracy, and compliance, we’re enabling custom AI agents that truly understand customers’ finances, workflows, and industries—and can take action on their behalf.”

Paul Smith, Chief Commercial Officer at Anthropic, added, “Millions of consumers and businesses trust Intuit with their most important financial decisions. Combining Intuit’s platform with Claude enables customers to build and use AI agents that understand their specific industry requirements and compliance frameworks. Claude Code will also empower Intuit’s engineering organization to innovate and ship high-quality experiences more rapidly.”
As part of the agreement, Intuit will deploy Claude Code across its engineering organization to accelerate software development and enhance internal productivity. Initial experiences resulting from the partnership are expected to begin rolling out to Intuit customers and Anthropic users in spring 2026.

Built on Security, Compliance, and Responsible AI
All agents and experiences developed under this partnership operate within Intuit’s secure data and compliance infrastructure. Solutions draw on customers’ authorized data and Intuit’s long-standing investments in AI governance, privacy, and regulatory safeguards. With explicit customer permission, data will power high-quality, personalized experiences within Anthropic’s environments, supported by rigorous technical and organizational controls.

Together, Intuit and Anthropic aim to redefine how consumers and businesses leverage AI—moving from generic assistance to deeply contextual, secure, and industry-aware financial intelligence.
