Partnership Aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 to Drive Digital Innovation, Talent Development and Industry Excellence.

Nemetschek Arabia has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Facility Management Association (SFMA) to accelerate the advancement of the facilities management (FM) sector across the Kingdom through digital innovation, knowledge exchange, and workforce development.

The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to supporting Saudi Vision 2030 by strengthening industry standards, accelerating digital transformation, and building national capabilities within Saudi Arabia’s facilities management ecosystem.

Advancing Digital Transformation Across the FM Lifecycle
Under the MoU, both organizations will collaborate to exchange expertise and global best practices, enhance professional competencies, and introduce advanced technology-driven methodologies in facilities management.

Key focus areas include:

  • Organizing joint workshops, seminars, and specialized training programs
  • Participation in industry exhibitions and sector-specific events
  • Research and development initiatives to introduce innovative FM solutions
  • Exploration of pilot projects across public and private sectors

The partnership will emphasize smart facilities management, digital twins, and data-driven operations to optimize asset performance across the entire lifecycle—from design and construction to operations and maintenance.

Supporting Sustainability and National Talent Development
Beyond digitalization, the agreement includes cooperation on sustainability initiatives aligned with national climate and efficiency objectives. Both parties will facilitate access to educational resources, provide technical and professional consultancy, and contribute to structured capacity-building programs designed to develop Saudi talent for the evolving FM landscape.

The collaboration aims to equip professionals with advanced competencies required to manage large-scale infrastructure and mega-projects while ensuring operational efficiency, sustainability, and long-term asset value.

Yves Padrines, Chief Executive Officer of the Nemetschek Group, emphasized that facilities management is a critical pillar in maximizing the long-term value, sustainability, and performance of the built environment. He noted that as Saudi Arabia advances its Vision 2030 ambitions, digitalization across the full asset lifecycle has become increasingly vital. He highlighted that the collaboration reflects Nemetschek’s commitment to enabling smarter, data-driven facilities through open, interoperable technologies and strong industry partnerships.

Muayad Simbawa, Managing Director of Nemetschek Arabia, stated that the FM sector is entering a new era shaped by digitalization, sustainability, and intelligent operations. He underscored that combining Nemetschek’s expertise in digital twins and lifecycle management solutions with SFMA’s industry leadership will help build a more resilient and technology-enabled facilities management ecosystem aligned with the Kingdom’s strategic transformation goals.

Ayed bin Awad Al-Qahtani, Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Facility Management Association, remarked that the partnership ensures Saudi professionals gain access to advanced global technologies and expertise. He noted that the collaboration will catalyze innovation, drive research, and strengthen national capabilities to manage the Kingdom’s mega-projects with precision and excellence.

Strengthening the Kingdom’s FM Ecosystem
The MoU underscores both organizations’ long-term commitment to elevating the facilities management profession in Saudi Arabia. By integrating digital technologies, fostering industry collaboration, and prioritizing national workforce development, the partnership aims to contribute meaningfully to the Kingdom’s broader transformation agenda.

Through innovation, structured knowledge sharing, and ecosystem development, Nemetschek Arabia and SFMA seek to position Saudi Arabia as a regional leader in smart, sustainable, and digitally enabled facilities management.
