OnePlus Launches ‘Light a Light, Plant a Plant’ Diwali Campaign 

The brand ropes in Jackie Shroff and JK Foundation to Promote Green India.

This Diwali 2025, OnePlus India unveiled its eco-friendly brand campaign, “Light a Light, Plant a Plant”, blending festive joy with sustainability. Collaborating with Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff and his NGO, JK Foundation, the tech brand pledged to plant 1 lakh trees across India, strengthening its commitment towards a greener and cleaner future.

Building on its earlier initiative of planting 20,000 trees in 2019, OnePlus continues to extend its community-driven philosophy by combining technology, environmental sustainability, and festive celebrations. The campaign encourages Indians to celebrate Diwali by lighting their homes while also planting a sapling, making the festival more meaningful and eco-conscious.

The campaign’s hero ad film, featuring Jackie Shroff, captures the essence of sustainable celebrations by spreading the message: “As we light a lamp, let’s also plant a plant.” The video reflects OnePlus’s vision of pairing innovative technology like OxygenOS with initiatives that support clean air, green cities, and eco-friendly lifestyles.

Directed by OML (Only Much Louder) and conceptualised by the in-house OnePlus marketing team, the campaign reinforces the brand’s festive marketing strategy while connecting emotionally with the community.

Speaking on the initiative, Ishita Grover, Director of Marketing, OnePlus India, said, “Our ‘Light a Light, Plant a Plant’ campaign is a heartfelt celebration of joy and a brighter, hopeful future this Diwali. We aim to spark a movement where festive celebrations and a greener tomorrow go hand in hand.”

Through JK Foundation and local partners, the plantation drive will prioritise native tree species, ensure ongoing maintenance, and share periodic updates with the OnePlus community, making this initiative a long-term commitment to India’s sustainable growth. With this eco-friendly Diwali campaign, OnePlus reaffirms its role as not just a technology leader but also a brand shaping a greener future for India.
