The launch marks a significant step for OptiValue Tek as it expands into defence innovation and electronic warfare systems, contributing to India’s growing focus on indigenous defence technologies.

OptiValue Tek has entered the defence technology sector with the launch of its Integrated Counter-UAV Defence System (ICUDS), an advanced AI-powered anti-drone platform designed to detect, track, and neutralize modern aerial threats, including drones operating in radio silence.

AI-Driven Counter-Drone System for Modern Threats
The ICUDS platform is built to address emerging challenges in aerial security, particularly the rise of autonomous, GPS-denied, and swarm-enabled drones that can bypass traditional radio frequency (RF)-based detection systems.

Using a multi-sensor fusion architecture, the system combines RF intelligence, acoustic detection, electro-optical surveillance, and AI-based targeting. This enables ICUDS to detect and respond to threats within three seconds while tracking over 30 drones simultaneously, even in complex swarm scenarios.

Advanced Multi-Sensor and AI Capabilities
The system follows a “Five Senses Doctrine,” integrating multiple detection technologies to enhance situational awareness. It uses convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to analyze drone communication signals, while acoustic sensors identify drone motor signatures, even when drones operate without transmitting signals.

A 360-degree electro-optical monitoring system provides real-time visual and thermal surveillance, supported by precision optical tracking for accurate targeting and engagement.

Once a drone threat is identified, ICUDS deploys a layered neutralization strategy. Soft-kill techniques include GPS spoofing, signal jamming, and protocol-based deception, while hard-kill options involve precision interceptors capable of neutralizing high-speed aerial threats. This dual-layer approach ensures comprehensive protection against a wide range of drone-based attacks.

Edge AI Architecture for Real-Time Decision Making
ICUDS operates on an edge AI framework, meaning all detection, analysis, and response processes are handled locally without reliance on cloud infrastructure. This allows for faster decision-making, enhanced security, and improved reliability in mission-critical environments. The system delivers over 93% classification accuracy with a low false alarm rate, making it suitable for high-security applications.

With more than 60% indigenous components, ICUDS aligns with India’s defence manufacturing policies, including the Defence Acquisition Procedure (DAP) 2020 and national initiatives like Atmanirbhar Bharat.

According to Ashish Kumar, the system is designed to address the rapidly evolving nature of drone threats by combining AI, multi-modal sensing, and precision engagement technologies.

Wide Deployment Across Critical Infrastructure
The ICUDS platform is designed for deployment across a wide range of environments, including military bases, border security zones, airports, power plants, telecom infrastructure, and other critical assets. With this launch, OptiValue Tek aims to strengthen airspace security and national defence capabilities, while expanding its footprint beyond digital transformation into mission-critical AI-driven defence systems.
