Capcom Announces Resident Evil 9 with Pre-Order Bonuses, Deluxe Edition, and Themed Accessories Across PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Capcom has officially opened pre-orders for Resident Evil: Requiem, the highly anticipated ninth installment in the iconic Resident Evil survival horror series. The game is set to release globally on February 27, 2026, and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. Players can now pre-purchase the game through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and official console stores, unlocking exclusive rewards and early access content.
All players who pre-order either version will receive an exclusive “Apocalypse” outfit for the game’s main protagonist, Grace Ashcroft.

Fortnite Crossover and Nintendo Switch 2 Controller
Fans who pre-order Resident Evil: Requiem via the Epic Games Store will unlock exclusive crossover items in Fortnite, including a Grace character skin and themed accessories inspired by the Resident Evil universe. These will be available after the game’s official launch.
Capcom also announced a limited-edition Resident Evil Requiem controller for the Nintendo Switch 2.
This custom controller features a gunmetal-black finish with etched graphics inspired by Requiem’s infected world. It will release alongside the game in February 2026.
Resident Evil Requiem: Story and Gameplay
Resident Evil: Requiem continues the legacy of Capcom’s legendary horror saga, taking players back to a world plagued by bio-engineered nightmares. The story follows Grace Ashcroft, an FBI analyst investigating a corpse infected with a mysterious virus discovered in an abandoned hotel. Her search uncovers shocking connections to the 1998 Raccoon City outbreak, revealing long-buried secrets of the Umbrella Corporation.
Gameplay in Requiem returns to the series’ classic survival horror roots, blending combat, puzzle-solving, resource management, and exploration. Players can switch seamlessly between first-person and third-person perspectives, offering both immersive and cinematic experiences.
