New Tools, Snowflake Partnership, and a Global Pledge to Train 12 Million in AI Skills.
At SAP TechEd 2025, SAP SE unveiled groundbreaking innovations designed to empower developers to lead the global Business AI revolution. From advanced AI-driven development tools and data integrations to a global AI upskilling initiative, SAP is setting the stage for a new era of intelligent enterprise software development.
Turning Ideas into Business Impact
SAP’s flagship SAP Build solution is now infused with AI-first capabilities to help developers automate, extend, and scale applications faster. With Joule Agents, developers can now turn ideas into impact — building intelligent applications with AI orchestration and automation.
Developers using platforms such as Cursor, Claude Code, Cline, and Windsurf can now leverage SAP Build Model Context Protocol Servers for faster agentic development. The new SAP Build extension for Visual Studio Code integrates SAP tools directly into developers’ favorite workspace — and will soon be available on the Open VSX Registry.
SAP also revealed a collaboration between Joule Studio and n8n, allowing both ecosystems’ AI agents to work together, unlocking new layers of autonomous workflow automation.
Data Intelligence Meets Flexibility
Recognizing that every intelligent application begins with trusted data, SAP introduced new capabilities within the SAP Business Data Cloud — including a new integration with Snowflake. This collaboration enables real-time data governance, AI model interoperability, and cross-platform analytics, giving businesses full flexibility to choose the best compute and storage environments for their workloads.
In addition, SAP Business Data Cloud’s new Data Product Studio lets developers transform raw enterprise data into AI-ready, analytics-powered data products, enabling more predictive insights and data-driven innovation. An update to SAP HANA Cloud’s Knowledge Graph Engine now allows developers to automatically generate knowledge graphs that map relationships between datasets — making it easier to visualize how data connects across applications.
“Our innovations put developers in the driver’s seat of the AI revolution. We’re giving them the tools to build faster, smarter, and more confidently — all powered by trusted business data,” said Muhammad Alam, Executive Board Member at SAP SE.
Bringing AI Autonomy to the Enterprise
SAP unveiled its first enterprise relational foundation model, SAP-RPT-1 (Relational Pre-Trained Transformer) — an AI model built to predict business outcomes, not just text completions. It can forecast key enterprise events like delivery delays, payment risks, and sales order completions, helping organizations make data-backed decisions faster.
Meanwhile, new AI assistants in Joule coordinate multiple AI agents across workflows — from finance and supply chain to HR — delivering truly autonomous business operations.
Also, SAP announced a bold pledge to train 12 million people worldwide in AI skills by 2030, in partnership with Coursera. The initiative will provide hands-on AI certifications and practical learning paths, ensuring that developers and professionals are equipped to thrive in an AI-first world.
