Wipro Restructures Leadership!

Wipro

Launches AI-Native Unit to Accelerate Enterprise AI Growth.

Wipro is strengthening its artificial intelligence strategy with a major organizational overhaul, including the launch of a dedicated AI-focused division and key leadership changes. The move reflects the company’s shift from traditional IT services toward scalable, AI-driven “services as software.”

The newly formed AI-Native Business and Platforms Unit will focus on building and scaling enterprise-grade AI solutions, including agentic AI platforms designed for business applications. The unit will be led by Nagendra Bandaru, who has been appointed as CEO after more than three decades with the company. He will report directly to Srini Pallia.

To support the transition, Kanwar Singh has been named President and Managing Partner of Technology Services Global Business Lines, bringing experience from Accenture to his expanded role.

The new AI unit will consolidate Wipro’s existing platforms into a unified AI portfolio. This includes solutions such as NetOxygen for AI-driven lending, CROAMIS for aviation cargo, and healthcare platforms like IHS and HPS, along with telecom-focused AI offerings. By integrating these assets, Wipro aims to accelerate innovation and deliver scalable AI products across industries.

The company plans to follow an “invest-build-partner” strategy to drive AI growth—investing in new technologies, developing proprietary platforms, and forming strategic partnerships. This approach is expected to help Wipro rapidly expand its AI capabilities and unlock new revenue streams.

As part of the restructuring, Suzanne Dann, CEO of the Americas-2 Strategic Market Unit, will exit the company in May 2026, marking another significant leadership transition.

With this move, Wipro is positioning itself as a key player in enterprise AI, focusing on platform-driven innovation and scalable AI solutions to meet evolving business demands.
