Adobe Firefly Goes Mobile: AI Moodboards, Video Magic & Creative Freedom On-the-Go!

Adobe has supercharged its AI-powered creativity tool, Firefly, by launching a new mobile app for iOS and Android, allowing creators to generate and edit content on the go. Firefly is now a full-fledged creative assistant that supports image and video generation, editing, and production — all in one app.

With Firefly Mobile, users can turn simple text prompts into high-quality images or videos, remove or add objects using Generative Fill, expand images with Generative Expand, and even convert static visuals into dynamic video content. Everything created on mobile syncs directly with Adobe Creative Cloud, ensuring seamless workflows between mobile and desktop apps like Photoshop and Premiere Pro.

A major highlight is Firefly Boards, now in public beta, offering AI-first moodboarding for teams to co-create using images and videos. With added support for video content, teams can remix clips or generate new footage using Adobe’s AI or partner models like Google Veo, Luma AI, Pika, and Runway.

“Creators continue to impress us with the breadth and artistry of the images, videos, graphics and designs they’re dreaming up in the Firefly app using models from both Adobe and our partners. Our goal with Firefly is to deliver creators the most comprehensive destination on web and mobile to access the best generative models from across the industry, in a single integrated experience from ideation to generation and editing,” said Ely Greenfield, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer.

The Firefly app now integrates with a broad array of AI models — from OpenAI, Google Imagen, Ideogram, Luma AI, Black Forest Labs, and more — giving creators unmatched variety in visual styles and tools. Users can generate art using Style Reference, remove distractions with a brush, or create editable vector art and design templates using everyday language prompts.

Upcoming features include avatar creation, sound effect generation, and syncing audio with video using voice inputs. Adobe’s goal with Firefly is to offer a complete AI creative hub — on web and mobile — so that creators can ideate, iterate, and produce wherever inspiration strikes. It joins Adobe’s growing mobile suite alongside Photoshop, Lightroom, and Express for professional-grade content creation, anytime, anywhere.
