Amazon has inaugurated a massive new office campus in Bengaluru, further expanding its footprint in India. Spread across 1.1 million square feet, the facility is being described as Amazon’s second-largest office in Asia and is designed to accommodate more than 7,000 employees.

The 12-storey campus spans five acres and is located approximately 15 kilometres from Kempegowda International Airport. The inauguration was attended by Dr M.B. Patil, Minister for Large & Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, Government of Karnataka.

Strategic Expansion in a Key Tech Hub
The new office will host teams across ecommerce, operations, payments, technology and seller services. Bengaluru has long served as a strategic innovation hub for Amazon in India, housing some of its earliest technology and business teams in the country.

Samir Kumar, Country Manager Amazon India, says, “India continues to be a long-term priority for Amazon, and Bengaluru has played a central role in our journey here. Over the years, the city has been home to some of our earliest technology and business teams, and today it remains a key hub for innovation and talent.”

“We are grateful to Dr. M.B. Patil for joining us to inaugurate this campus and for Government of Karnataka’s continued support. As we build for customers in India and around the world, we remain committed to investing in infrastructure, technology, and talent for the long term,” he added.

Designed for Collaboration and Scale
The campus features modern workplace infrastructure including meeting rooms, huddle spaces, breakout areas and event venues capable of hosting more than 200 people. The design prioritises collaboration, flexibility and large-scale operational efficiency.

In addition to workspaces, the facility offers employee amenities such as basketball and pickleball courts, an amphitheatre, landscaped lawns and outdoor community areas. Cafeterias spread across two floors will serve a range of global cuisines.

Strengthening India Operations

The launch reinforces Amazon’s long-term growth strategy in India and strengthens its operational and innovation capabilities. As Bengaluru continues to position itself as a global technology hub, the new campus enhances Amazon’s ability to scale talent, accelerate product development and support expanding ecommerce and digital services operations in the region.

This new campus represents more than infrastructure—it’s a symbol of Amazon’s long-term investment in India’s innovation ecosystem. Amazon established its presence in Bengaluru over 20 years ago, and the city continues to be a critical part of Amazon’s India strategy. Teams based here build products, services, and technologies used by customers around the world. This new campus is Amazon’s 10th corporate office in Karnataka.
