Apple is reportedly planning to open its next retail store in Hyderabad, further strengthening its growing retail footprint in India. The move is part of Apple’s broader India expansion strategy, as the country continues to emerge as one of its most important global growth markets.
Speculation around the upcoming Apple Store in Hyderabad gained momentum after the company listed multiple retail roles on its official Apple Careers page. Job openings for positions such as Store Leader, Senior Manager, and Genius have appeared specifically for Hyderabad, indicating early-stage preparations for a physical retail presence in the city. While Apple has not officially confirmed the launch, industry trends suggest the store could open in early 2027, as Apple typically begins hiring nearly a year before inaugurating a new location.
Reports also suggest that Apple is planning to open another retail store in Mumbai in 2026, highlighting a dual-city expansion strategy aimed at strengthening brand presence in India’s major commercial and technology hubs.
Apple recently inaugurated its fifth retail store at DLF Mall of India in Noida, adding to existing stores in Bengaluru (Hebbal), Pune (Koregaon Park), and Mumbai and Delhi. The Hyderabad expansion follows a strong performance in 2025, driven by robust demand for iPhones, Macs, iPads, and services.
Although the exact location of the Hyderabad Apple Store has not been disclosed, premium areas such as Gachibowli and the Financial District are being considered due to their high-end retail appeal and strong tech ecosystem.
Apple CEO Tim Cook has repeatedly described India as a key growth engine, citing record revenues fueled by first-time buyers and rising adoption of Apple products. Official confirmation on the Hyderabad and Mumbai stores is expected later this year.
