Commvault’s new tools aimed to Boost Cyber Resilience and AI-Driven Data Protection in Middle East.
Commvault has unveiled two new innovations—Data Rooms and Conversational AI with Model Context Protocol (MCP)—designed to accelerate secure AI integration and natural language data management for enterprises across the Middle East. These cutting-edge tools align with the region’s digital transformation priorities and support national strategies such as the UAE’s National AI Strategy 2031.
The new Data Rooms feature provides secure, governed, self-service access, enabling enterprises to safely activate and share trusted backup data with internal AI platforms or external generative AI and analytics solutions. With built-in compliance tools, classification, audit trails, encryption, and role-based access controls (RBAC), Data Rooms help organizations transform backup data into AI-ready assets while maintaining the highest standards for privacy and security—critical for enterprise data activation, analytics, and AI model training.
Commvault’s Conversational AI and MCP server take cyber resilience to the next level by allowing users to manage backup and recovery tasks using everyday natural language across all workloads in SaaS, cloud, and hybrid environments. These AI-driven, policy-governed interactions mean that IT administrators and business users can query data status, launch jobs, or orchestrate resilience workflows instantly through simple voice or chat. With GenAI integrations like ChatGPT Enterprise and Claude, and NIST-compliant policy controls, MCP ensures that every transaction is secure, auditable, and aligned to enterprise-grade governance—without compromising data protection.
Commvault Data Rooms are now in early access, while the MCP server enters initial rollout following Commvault SHIFT 2025, with public access and general availability expected by spring 2026. These innovations bring powerful conversational simplicity, trusted automation, and comprehensive coverage to cyber resilience, cementing Commvault’s leadership in AI-enabled backup, rapid recovery, and secure enterprise data management.
