The company appoints Mathew Graham as the Chief Security Officer for the Asia Pacific.
Okta has announced the appointment of Mathew Graham as its new Chief Security Officer (CSO) for Asia Pacific. This strategic leadership move comes at a critical time when enterprises across the region face escalating cybersecurity threats, increasing AI adoption, and the urgent need for phishing-resistant authentication and zero trust security frameworks.
In his new role, Graham will drive Okta’s regional cybersecurity strategy, enabling organizations to strengthen identity security as critical infrastructure for business resilience, cloud security compliance, and AI-powered digital transformation.
Stephanie Barnett, Vice President and Interim GM APJ & ANZ at Okta, highlighted, “Mathew’s appointment comes at a time when Asia Pacific organizations are under immense pressure to address evolving cyber threats and leverage AI-driven opportunities. His extensive expertise in cloud security, SaaS platforms, and enterprise risk management makes him the right leader to help customers build digital trust and secure human and non-human identities.”
Graham emphasized that identity security remains the foundation of enterprise protection, especially as AI reshapes the workforce and cybercriminals adopt new attack methods. “The question isn’t just what we’re protecting—it’s who we are trusting. At Okta, I look forward to helping customers safeguard people, systems, and AI-powered digital colleagues with a scalable, neutral, and extensible identity platform.”
With over 20 years of experience in government, cloud, and enterprise SaaS security, Graham brings deep knowledge of securing every layer of the technology stack—from infrastructure to applications. Prior to Okta, he held senior leadership roles at Workday, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Salesforce, where he built innovative security programs for global enterprises.
This appointment reinforces Okta’s mission to deliver secure identity solutions, enable phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication (MFA), and support organizations in navigating the future of zero trust, AI integration, and cyber resilience across Asia Pacific.
