SolarWinds Unveils AI Agent to Boost IT Automation and Autonomous Operational Resilience

Revolutionary AI innovations empower IT teams to automate issue detection, speed up response times, and enhance digital resilience.

SolarWinds has launched the SolarWinds AI Agent, a groundbreaking step toward achieving autonomous operational resilience. The company also announced an expansion of its AI-powered features designed to help organizations reduce downtime, optimize performance, and accelerate digital transformation.

As IT ecosystems grow more distributed and complex, nearly half of IT leaders report unexpected outages, according to the 2025 SolarWinds IT Trends Report. The SolarWinds AI Agent directly addresses this “resilience gap” by providing an intelligent, context-aware system that predicts potential issues, automates responses, and alleviates the cognitive load on IT teams.

A Smarter AI Assistant for IT Operations

The new AI Agent functions as a digital team member across observability, incident response, and service management. It enables IT professionals to:

  • Resolve incidents faster by automatically summarizing outages, identifying root causes, and suggesting remediation steps.
  • Use natural language commands to ask questions, analyze system health, and launch multi-step workflows.
  • Simplify observability management by configuring and managing SolarWinds Observability directly via the agent interface.

“The SolarWinds AI Agent is more than a feature—it’s a foundation for a new way of working. By embedding intelligent, context-aware AI into IT workflows, we’re helping teams move beyond reactive firefighting to proactive innovation,” said Krishna Sai, Chief Technology Officer at SolarWinds.

Alongside the AI Agent, SolarWinds has introduced next-gen AI features that deliver immediate value:

  • Root Cause Assist (GA): Automates troubleshooting by generating precise root-cause analyses from alerts and anomalies.
  • Dynamic Threshold Enhancements: Expands automated thresholding to more metrics, reducing noise and false positives.
  • AI Query Assist (Tech Preview): Analyzes database queries and recommends faster, more efficient rewrites.

“With the AI Agent and new capabilities, we’re helping customers achieve autonomous operational resilience, where IT runs smarter, faster, and more securely with minimal manual effort,” said Sudhakar Ramakrishna, President and CEO, SolarWinds.

SolarWinds will continue expanding its AI suite with advanced tools for incident correlation, runbook automation, and AI-generated knowledge bases, enabling IT systems to operate with greater autonomy. The SolarWinds AI Agent integrates observability, automation, and predictive intelligence in a single platform—empowering IT teams to strengthen system uptime, boost productivity, and focus on innovation instead of constant firefighting.
