Taboola DeeperDive AI Answer Engine Hits 7 Million Users, Expands Globally

Taboola

Taboola has reported strong growth for its generative AI-powered answer engine, DeeperDive, which has reached nearly 7 million monthly active users within just eight months of launch. The platform is quickly emerging as one of the largest AI answer engines on the open web, integrated directly into leading publisher websites.

DeeperDive is designed to transform how users interact with online content by enabling a more conversational and interactive experience. Instead of passively reading articles, users can ask questions, explore topics in depth, and receive contextual answers powered by trusted editorial content. The technology is already live across major publisher platforms, including USA Today Network, India Today, and BuzzFeed Asia.

Since its launch in late 2025, DeeperDive has driven significant engagement. Some publishers are seeing adoption rates as high as 17%, with nearly one in six readers actively interacting with the AI engine. User behavior is also shifting, with over half of the queries focused on recent news, sports, entertainment, and trending topics from the past 24 hours. The platform generates more than 10 million user questions every month, offering valuable real-time insights into audience interests.

This increased interaction is also improving content discovery and monetization. Traditionally, users would read only one or two articles per visit, but DeeperDive is changing that pattern. Once users engage with the AI interface, the likelihood of exploring additional content rises significantly, with engagement rates exceeding 20%. This deeper interaction is also driving higher advertiser conversion rates across Taboola’s network, making it beneficial for both publishers and advertisers.

Another major advantage of DeeperDive is its ability to provide editorial teams with direct visibility into user intent. Through its dashboard, publishers can access millions of reader queries, helping them identify trending topics and align their content strategies accordingly. This data-driven approach allows media organizations to create more relevant and engaging content while optimizing their editorial decisions.

Taboola is also expanding DeeperDive globally by adding support for multiple languages, including French, German, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish. As part of this expansion, new publishers such as Ouest-France, El Nacional, and Ynet have joined the platform, further strengthening its international presence.

According to Adam Singolda, DeeperDive represents a new direction for AI on the open web, combining the power of generative AI with trusted publisher content. The platform follows an ad-supported model, allowing users to access AI-driven insights for free while creating new revenue opportunities for publishers. As AI adoption continues to grow, DeeperDive is positioning itself as a key bridge between advanced AI capabilities and high-quality journalism.

With its rapid growth, strong engagement metrics, and expanding global footprint, DeeperDive is redefining how users discover, consume, and interact with digital content, signaling a major shift in the future of AI-powered publishing.
