Westcon-Comstor Appoints Renton D’Souza as Managing Director for the Gulf to Drive Regional Growth

Westcon-Comstor

Westcon-Comstor has announced the appointment of Renton D’Souza as its new Managing Director for the Gulf. The move comes as the company accelerates its growth strategy across the Gulf region, driven by rising demand for cybersecurity, networking, and cloud solutions.

Renton D’Souza brings nearly 18 years of experience at Westcon-Comstor, having held several senior leadership roles across the Middle East and Africa (MEA). Most recently, he served as Vice President MEA for the distributor’s Cisco-focused Comstor business, where he played a key role in strengthening vendor alliances, expanding into new markets, and supporting channel partners across the region.

In his new role, Renton will oversee commercial strategy, operations, and partner engagement for both Westcon and Comstor in the Gulf. His focus will be on expanding market share, deepening relationships with vendors and systems integrators, and enabling channel partners to capitalise on fast-evolving enterprise technology needs.

The appointment follows a period of significant investment in the Gulf by Westcon-Comstor, including the company’s move to larger offices in Dubai in September 2024 to support regional expansion. The Gulf continues to be a key growth market as organisations increase spending on digital transformation, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity.

Westcon-Comstor recently reported strong financial results for the first half of FY26, with gross sales rising 9.8 percent to $2.78 billion. The MEA region delivered solid year-on-year growth across key performance metrics, making a meaningful contribution to the company’s global performance.

“It’s an honour to step into this role at such an exciting time for our Gulf business,” said Renton D’Souza. He highlighted the region’s strong IT ecosystem and said Westcon-Comstor is well positioned to help partners become future-ready amid rapid changes in technology and business models.

Commenting on the appointment, Rakesh Parbhoo, Executive Vice President for Middle East and Africa at Westcon-Comstor, said, “Renton’s deep regional experience and leadership in vendor and partner engagement make him the ideal choice to lead the Gulf business during its next phase of growth.”

With continued regional investment and leadership continuity, Westcon-Comstor aims to strengthen its position as a leading technology distributor in the Gulf and wider Middle East.
