WhatsApp new update brings exciting group call scheduling, interactive features, and enhanced tools for personal and professional communication. The Meta-owned platform continues to expand its messaging app features while keeping all conversations secure with end-to-end encryption.
The latest WhatsApp update allows users to schedule group calls and send invitations in advance, making it easier to organize meetings, online classes, or family catch-ups. To schedule a call:
Tap the + button in the Calls tab
Select “Schedule Call”
Add people or groups to invite
Participants will receive a reminder notification before the call starts
All upcoming calls can be managed directly in the Calls tab, with details such as attendees and call links available. The host also receives alerts whenever someone joins the scheduled call.
To make conversations more engaging, WhatsApp is introducing call reactions and a raise hand option, ensuring group discussions feel more natural and collaborative. These tools are designed to improve WhatsApp group communication for both casual chats and professional meetings.
WhatsApp AI & Monetization Updates
The announcement follows WhatsApp’s Message Summaries feature, powered by Meta AI, which helps users catch up on unread chats by providing AI-generated overviews. In addition, Meta is working on new monetization features inside the Updates tab. These include:
- Paid WhatsApp Channel subscriptions
- Promoted channels in the Discovery directory
- Ads within WhatsApp Status
With these continuous updates, WhatsApp is evolving into more than just a messaging app—it’s becoming a powerful platform for business communication, community engagement, and AI-driven experiences.
