HCLTech, a leading global IT and engineering services company, has announced a new and expanded partnership with Volvo Cars. As part of this agreement, Volvo has selected HCLTech as a key engineering services provider to support its future mobility goals.
Volvo Cars has long been known for its focus on safety, sustainability, and innovation in the automobile sector. With plans to shape the future of personal and eco-friendly transportation, the company aims to offer vehicles that are both sustainable and safe.
Building on their existing collaboration in digital transformation and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) services, the new partnership will see HCLTech deliver end-to-end engineering solutions. These services will support Volvo’s product development efforts through HCLTech’s Automotive Centre of Excellence in Gothenburg, Sweden, and from its global offshore and nearshore delivery centers.
“This is a key moment for us,” said Pankaj Tagra, Corporate Vice President, Manufacturing and Allied Industries, Europe, at HCLTech. “We are proud to deepen our partnership with Volvo Cars during this critical phase of its transformation journey.”
Tagra further highlighted that this deal marks HCLTech’s strong position as a trusted engineering partner for global automotive leaders. He added that HCLTech is investing in next-generation automotive engineering, providing advanced solutions that will help shape tomorrow’s mobility.
This partnership reflects the growing need for technology-driven innovation in the automotive industry, where software, engineering, and sustainability are becoming central to building the cars of the future.
