Batterjee Medical College Boosts Global Expansion with Veeam Data Resilience

Batterjee Medical College (BMC), one of Saudi Arabia’s top private medical colleges, has accelerated its digital transformation and international expansion by deploying Veeam Data Platform, Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, and Veeam Data Cloud Vault. Partnering with Veeam Software, the global leader in data resilience, cloud backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions, BMC has strengthened its IT infrastructure to support its ambitious growth strategy, including the launch of a new campus in Dubai, UAE.

With student data and research output growing at more than 20% annually, BMC recognized the urgent need for robust cloud data protection, hybrid IT resilience, and next-generation backup solutions. “At the end of this year, we’ll open a new branch in Dubai. We are committed to embracing new technologies, strengthening data security, and driving productivity,” said Nabil Alsanbi, IT Operations Director at Batterjee Medical College.

“BMC’s journey shows how cloud-driven data resilience and hybrid IT solutions can empower innovation and international growth,” said Mena Migally, Regional VP for EMEA East at Veeam. “With Veeam, BMC is not only protecting sensitive data but also scaling its global footprint in medical education.”

Veeam’s deployment has already transformed BMC’s operations. Critical systems that previously took two hours to restore can now be recovered in just 15 minutes — a remarkable 87% reduction in downtime. Overall, data recovery times have improved by 80%, boosting business continuity and ensuring uninterrupted medical education. Backup times have been halved, while automation tools and storage compression have cut IT workloads and storage needs by up to 80%, enabling BMC to reallocate resources to cybersecurity and digital innovation.

By leveraging Veeam, Batterjee Medical College is now equipped with a scalable, future-ready data resilience architecture that supports digital transformation, cybersecurity, cloud integration, and global expansion — positioning it as the first Saudi medical education institution to operate internationally.
