Symbiosis Dubai Celebrates First Anniversary with Shri Dharmendra Pradhan

Symbiosis Dubai, the first Indian university in the UAE to launch with full CAA accreditation and KHDA approval, celebrated its first anniversary with a grand event at Taj Dubai, Business Bay, attended by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Minister of Education, Government of India. The celebration also marked Orientation Day for the 2025–26 academic year, welcoming new students into a growing hub of global higher education.

Speaking at the event, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan highlighted the strengthening India-UAE education partnership, noting, “Symbiosis Dubai represents a new chapter for India and the UAE, serving as a symbol of opportunity, innovation, and cultural exchange. It stands as a bridge connecting our nations through education, technology, and talent mobility.”

Since its inauguration in November 2024 by H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahyan and Dr. S. Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs, Government of India, Symbiosis Dubai has rapidly grown under the India-UAE E33 Bilateral Education Agreement. From offering four programs at launch, the university now provides 10 accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programs, spanning business, technology, psychology, commerce, media, and AI specializations such as Data Science, Machine Learning, and Cloud Computing.

In just one year, Symbiosis Dubai has welcomed 500+ families, built a vibrant student community, and launched the Symbiosis Centre for Applied AI – Dubai Chapter in collaboration with Cisco IDS, EdNex, Maker & Coder, and Cyber Secured India, ensuring hands-on exposure in AI, data science, and cybersecurity.

The MBA program powered by SIBM Pune, launching January 2026, adds flexible morning, evening, and weekend options with specializations in Marketing, Finance, Operations, Business Analytics, Strategic Management, International Business, and Entrepreneurship. To strengthen industry relevance, Symbiosis Dubai signed MoUs with Cisco Networking Academy, Edu Scan, Behaviour Enhancement, and Odoo, further bridging academia with global corporate networks.

India-UAE: A Growing Education Corridor

Dubai’s rise as a global education hub makes it a preferred destination for Indian students, especially amid visa challenges in the UK, USA, and Canada. According to KHDA’s 2024–25 report:

  • 42% of international higher education enrolments in Dubai are Indian students
  • 20% surge in enrolments in the past year
  • 42,026 students are now part of Dubai’s higher education sector

With the UAE’s strong push toward AI and innovation, Symbiosis Dubai is set to play a key role in shaping the future-ready workforce. By combining a 50+ year legacy of Symbiosis International University with cutting-edge programs in AI, data science, business, and media, the Dubai campus is positioning itself as a global hub for academic excellence, innovation, and international collaboration.
