LG Rolls Out Xbox Cloud Gaming on Smart TVs in India With New Gaming Portal

LG strengthens its position in the cloud gaming and smart TV entertainment market, giving Indian users one of the most convenient ways to experience console-quality gaming directly from their television.

LG Electronics has officially launched the Xbox app on LG smart TVs through its newly introduced LG Gaming Portal, bringing native Xbox Cloud Gaming support to millions of users in India. With this update, owners of compatible 2021–2025 LG webOS smart TVs can stream Xbox titles directly—no console, no downloads, and no additional hardware required—making cloud gaming more accessible than ever.

LG says the Gaming Portal acts as an all-in-one gaming hub that unifies cloud gaming services, allowing players to start playing instantly. As part of this rollout, the Xbox app is now expanding to India, opening up seamless access to Microsoft’s cloud gaming ecosystem.

With an active Xbox Game Pass subscription, LG TV users can instantly stream popular titles such as Forza Horizon 5, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Raji: An Ancient Epic, and hundreds more. All players need is a stable high-speed internet connection and a compatible Bluetooth controller, enabling console-like gameplay straight from the TV.

In India, Xbox Game Pass is available across three monthly tiers:

  • Essential – ₹499
  • Premium – ₹699
  • Ultimate – ₹1,389

Welcoming the launch, Brian Jung, Director at LG Media Entertainment Solution Company, said, “We’re thrilled to bring LG Gaming Portal with Xbox to LG Smart TVs in India. The Gaming Portal is designed to make gaming more accessible, convenient, and enjoyable for everyone—from hardcore gamers to casual players.”

The LG Gaming Portal, including the Xbox cloud gaming app, is rolling out in phases through an over-the-air software update on eligible LG TV models manufactured between 2021 and 2025. Once updated, users will find the Gaming Portal directly on the LG Home Screen. This expansion follows Microsoft’s recent activation of Xbox Cloud Gaming in India, which is now accessible across a wide range of devices including Xbox consoles, PCs, Windows handhelds, smartphones, Samsung TVs, and Amazon Fire TV Stick / Fire TV Cube.
