At CES 2026, HP has unveiled a major strategic shift in its gaming portfolio by uniting its OMEN and HyperX product lines under a single global gaming brand—HyperX. The move marks the beginning of a new era for HP gaming hardware, bringing together high-performance gaming laptops, displays, and peripherals under one powerful and recognizable brand identity.

While artificial intelligence and next-generation computing dominated much of the CES 2026 spotlight, HP’s announcement stands out as a defining moment for gamers and esports enthusiasts. Under the newly consolidated HyperX brand, HP has introduced a new lineup of premium gaming laptops, an advanced OLED gaming monitor, and its first Xbox-licensed arcade controller, reinforcing its commitment to the competitive gaming ecosystem.

HyperX OMEN Max 16: Flagship Gaming Laptop with OLED and RTX 5090
Leading the new lineup is the HyperX OMEN Max 16 gaming laptop, designed for serious gamers, creators, and performance enthusiasts. The laptop features a 16-inch OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate and up to 500 nits peak brightness, delivering ultra-smooth gameplay and vibrant visuals.

Powering the system are Intel Core Ultra 200HX series processors and next-generation AMD Ryzen AI processors, paired with up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. This configuration positions the OMEN Max 16 as a top-tier choice for AAA gaming, ray tracing, AI-enhanced workloads, and content creation.

To manage sustained performance, HP has integrated an advanced thermal solution featuring OMEN Tempest Cooling Pro and Fan Cleaner technology. The laptop supports up to 300 watts of combined system power, with an additional 50 watts of dynamic power headroom, ensuring consistent performance during extended gaming sessions.

HyperX OMEN OLED 34: Ultra-Wide QD-OLED Gaming Monitor
HP also introduced the HyperX OMEN OLED 34 gaming monitor, targeting competitive gamers and creative professionals alike. The monitor features a 34-inch next-generation V-Stripe QD-OLED panel with WQHD resolution and an ultra-fast 360Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for esports and high-frame-rate gaming.

The display incorporates HyperX ProLuma professional-grade color technology, offering high color accuracy and consistency. Additional features include a built-in KVM switch for multi-device control and 100W USB-C power delivery, enhancing productivity and desk setup efficiency.

HyperX Clutch Tachi: Xbox-Licensed Arcade Controller
Expanding beyond traditional PC gaming hardware, HP revealed the HyperX Clutch Tachi, its first Xbox-licensed arcade-style controller. Designed for competitive and fighting game enthusiasts, the controller features magnetic switches with TMR sensors, delivering fast response times and long-term durability.

The Clutch Tachi supports extensive customisation options, including button remapping, rapid trigger settings, and personalised profiles, allowing players to fine-tune performance across different game genres.

HP confirmed that pricing and full availability details for all newly announced HyperX gaming products will be revealed closer to launch. The products are expected to be available via HP.com in Spring 2026, with regional rollout timelines to follow. With the unification of OMEN and HyperX, HP is positioning HyperX as a comprehensive gaming powerhouse, spanning gaming laptops, OLED monitors, esports peripherals, and console accessories—all designed to meet the demands of modern gamers at every level.
