Infoblox Strengthens Preemptive Security with Planned Acquisition of Axur

Acquisition enhances exposure management, AI-powered threat disruption, and protection against credential theft, fraud, and AI-driven cyberattacks.

Infoblox has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Axur, a global provider of AI-powered external threat protection solutions. The planned acquisition, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, is expected to close in Spring 2026.

The acquisition significantly expands Infoblox’s preemptive security and exposure management strategy, enabling organizations to identify and mitigate digital risks earlier—before they escalate into full-scale breaches. By integrating Axur’s capabilities, Infoblox will strengthen protection against brand abuse, phishing attacks, credential exposure, fraud, and external digital threats that operate beyond the traditional network perimeter.

As cybercriminals increasingly leverage artificial intelligence to scale phishing, impersonation, and social engineering campaigns, security teams require faster visibility and automated disruption of threats across domains such as fake websites, social media platforms, mobile app stores, and search advertising.

“Many modern attacks now originate outside the traditional network perimeter,” said Scott Harrell, President and CEO of Infoblox. “Security teams must see what’s exposed and reduce risk before an incident occurs. Axur enhances our preemptive security platform by enabling rapid, AI-driven detection and takedown of malicious infrastructure—often before it can be weaponized.”

Axur’s platform uses AI-driven automation to continuously discover, validate, and dismantle external threats, including phishing sites, impersonation campaigns, fraudulent domains, rogue mobile apps, and leaked credentials on the dark web. The company reports notifying new phishing detections for takedown in under four minutes and achieving nearly 99% takedown success rates, with continuous monitoring to prevent re-emergence.

When combined with Infoblox’s DNS-layer threat blocking and network intelligence, organizations gain the ability to disrupt attacks while takedowns are in progress—reducing median attack lifetimes from days to hours. Enhanced network-level asset and IP attribution also helps security teams quickly identify threat ownership and remediate exposure.

Together, Infoblox and Axur will help organizations:
Detect External Threats Earlier
Continuously identify phishing campaigns, impersonation on social platforms, fraudulent apps, leaked credentials, and dark web activity—often weeks before attacks reach users.
Disrupt Malicious Infrastructure Faster Through Automation
Use AI-powered workflows to validate and remove phishing sites, fake domains, and impersonation campaigns with rapid takedowns and sustained monitoring.
Protect Brands, Executives, Customers, and Users More Efficiently
Prevent account takeovers, financial fraud, and reputational damage while reducing manual investigation and response workloads for security teams.

“Axur was built to help organizations stay ahead of attackers through automation, transparency, and measurable outcomes. Joining Infoblox allows us to scale globally and enhance external threat disruption with deeper network intelligence, delivering a truly preemptive approach to cybersecurity,” said Fabio Ramos, CEO of Axur.

Infoblox and Axur will continue to operate independently until the transaction closes. The acquisition remains subject to regulatory approval and other closing conditions, with further updates to be shared upon completion.
