Milestone Systems and IQSIGHT (formerly Bosch Video Systems) have announced the global launch of SmartSuite, a new integrated plugin suite designed for Milestone XProtect. The integration brings advanced video intelligence and analytics directly into the XProtect platform, helping organizations strengthen security operations and improve incident response.
The SmartSuite integration combines multiple plugins into a single solution, enabling security professionals and system integrators to configure cameras, access analytics, and manage operations from a unified interface. By embedding IQSIGHT’s Intelligent Video Analytics within the XProtect ecosystem, the platform delivers deeper insights, faster investigations, and more efficient security management.
One of the key advantages of the SmartSuite integration is its ability to significantly simplify system deployment. By consolidating three separate plugins into one unified suite, the solution can reduce installation time for system integrators by up to 70%. The platform also includes additional capabilities such as panoramic de-warping, hardware control functions like infrared illumination and camera wipers, and automated configuration features through Project Assistant import.
The integration also enhances operator awareness by surfacing rich metadata directly within the XProtect interface. Security teams can visualize object classification, trajectory paths, color-coded bounding boxes, and gunshot direction indicators, improving the ability to analyze events and conduct forensic investigations. SmartSuite supports advanced analytics features such as appearance-based search and personal protective equipment (PPE) detection using Intelligent Video Analytics Pro.
In addition, the solution supports IVA Pro Visual Gun Detection, an AI-powered capability designed to detect when a person is brandishing a firearm and instantly alert security personnel. This feature can help accelerate threat detection in high-risk environments such as schools, transportation hubs, and public venues.
SmartSuite also simplifies device management by allowing system integrators to configure Bosch cameras directly within the XProtect Management Client. This eliminates the need to switch between multiple configuration environments or log into individual devices, making deployment and maintenance more efficient.
