Anthropic and PwC have expanded their strategic partnership to accelerate enterprise AI adoption at scale, announcing plans to train 30,000 PwC professionals on Anthropic’s Claude AI models. The initiative reflects a broader shift in the corporate world from experimental AI use cases toward full integration of artificial intelligence into core business operations such as finance, cybersecurity, consulting, and software development.
As part of the rollout, PwC will deploy Claude Code and Claude Cowork tools across its global workforce, with plans to eventually extend access to hundreds of thousands of employees worldwide. The companies will also establish a joint Centre of Excellence focused on enterprise AI deployment, governance, and implementation, aimed at helping organizations redesign workflows around AI-native systems.
The partnership comes amid growing pressure on enterprises to modernize legacy systems and inefficient workflows, which industry estimates suggest cost the global economy more than $2 trillion annually. Anthropic and PwC say their collaboration is intended to help organizations transition toward AI-driven operating models that improve productivity, speed, and decision-making across complex business environments.
According to Dario Amodei, co-founder and CEO of Anthropic, AI is already delivering measurable improvements in traditionally slow and complex industries. He noted that processes such as insurance underwriting that once took weeks can now be completed in days, while cybersecurity and operational tasks that previously required hours are being reduced to minutes. He added that expanding Claude’s deployment across PwC’s workforce will further amplify these gains in real-world enterprise settings.
Paul Griggs US Senior Partner and CEO at PwC, said the focus of enterprise AI adoption has shifted from experimentation to execution. He emphasized that clients are increasingly seeking secure, responsible, and outcome-driven AI applications capable of operating in highly regulated and complex industries. The partnership with Anthropic, he said, combines advanced AI capabilities with PwC’s domain expertise to enable large-scale transformation with greater confidence.
As part of the expanded collaboration, PwC is also launching a new “Office of the CFO” initiative built around Claude, targeting finance transformation across industries such as banking, insurance, and healthcare. This includes automation of financial processes like journal entries and variance analysis, as well as broader redesign of enterprise finance functions. The AI tools are already being applied in areas including cybersecurity, human resources transformation, professional sports operations, and mainframe modernization, with some deployments reporting significant efficiency gains.
The partnership also highlights the growing role of consulting firms in shaping enterprise AI adoption strategies, as technology providers increasingly collaborate with advisory organizations that influence large-scale corporate decision-making. Earlier this month, Anthropic also announced a separate multibillion-dollar initiative with major financial institutions and investment firms to expand enterprise deployment of its AI systems, further reinforcing its push into large-scale business transformation.
