Commvault and SAAED Partner to Strengthen Cybersecurity and Data Protection Across UAE Smart Systems

At GITEX Global 2025, Commvault has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SAAED, a pioneering UAE-based company specializing in smart city technologies, traffic management, and inspection services. The partnership aims to enhance cybersecurity, data protection, and digital resilience across UAE’s rapidly expanding smart infrastructure ecosystem.

This collaboration comes as the UAE accelerates its digital transformation and smart city initiatives under the National Cybersecurity Strategy 2025. With the UAE’s cybersecurity market projected to reach USD 1.39 billion by 2030 at an 11.2% CAGR, the alliance between Commvault and SAAED underscores a shared vision to build secure, sustainable, and technologically advanced cities.

H.E. Engineer Ibrahim Yousef Raml, CEO of SAAED, stated, “Data protection is integral to our mission of enabling safe, smart, and resilient cities. Our collaboration with Commvault strengthens SAAED’s cyber defense capabilities and supports the UAE’s broader vision of digital trust and innovation-led governance.”

Yahya Kassab, Sales Director and General Manager, Gulf and KSA, Commvault, added, “Partnering with SAAED reinforces our commitment to advancing AI-driven cybersecurity across the region. Together, we aim to empower UAE’s smart systems with the resilience needed to combat modern cyber threats.”

Through this partnership, Commvault Cloud SaaS will power SAAED’s data protection and cyber resilience strategy, offering AirGap Storage for Azure backups, Cleanroom Recovery, and Cyber Deception technologies — ensuring end-to-end protection for mission-critical workloads. The platform’s AI-driven threat detection, scalable cloud infrastructure, and DESC-certified offerings align with SAAED’s goal of safeguarding national data assets and maintaining operational excellence.

By combining Commvault’s cutting-edge cyber resilience technologies with SAAED’s smart city expertise, the partnership will drive secure digital transformation, protect critical infrastructure, and contribute to the UAE’s ambition of becoming a global leader in cybersecurity and AI-powered governance.
