Kabuni Launches AI-Powered Cricket Coaching in India

Sourav Ganguly to Revolutionize Youth Sports Training.

Kabuni, a UK-based AI and sports technology company, has officially made its debut in India with an ambitious vision: to bring AI-driven cricket coaching and pro-level performance analysis to every young player across the country. Announced in Kolkata, the launch aims to transform how aspiring cricketers learn, train, and improve using cutting-edge artificial intelligence, biomechanics, and real-time sports analytics.

AI Platform That Delivers Professional-Grade Cricket Coaching
At the core of Kabuni’s offering is a powerful AI engine trained on decades of cricket footage, biomechanics research, and coaching expertise. The platform can analyze batting and bowling techniques frame by frame and deliver personalized insights through videos, images, text, and voice feedback.

With Kabuni’s dedicated smart device and mobile app, players can record their practice sessions anywhere—street cricket, school grounds, coaching nets, or neighborhood matches—and instantly receive data-driven feedback to fast-track their improvement.

Sourav Ganguly Champions Kabuni’s Mission in India
Former India captain and Kabuni’s Global Brand Ambassador Sourav Ganguly emphasized how AI coaching can transform young talent.

“Quality coaching helps children learn faster and live healthier lives. Earlier, this level of coaching was available only to professionals—but now it’s accessible to everyone,” Ganguly said.

His involvement adds strong cultural and emotional resonance, especially in a nation where cricket is deeply loved.

Democratizing Access to Structured Coaching
Co-founder and CFO Patrick Badenoch reiterated the company’s mission, “Whether on the streets, schoolyards, nets or cricket pitches, Kabuni enables every player to record their game, receive personalized coaching, and enjoy the thrill of progress.”

Kabuni’s platform was developed in collaboration with Cambridge Design Partnership, ensuring accuracy, safety, and high-quality performance tracking suitable for learners across all levels—from grassroots cricket to elite athletes.

Future Expansion Into Multiple Sports
While cricket is the first focus, Kabuni plans to build a multi-sport AI ecosystem. Expansion is already planned for tennis, golf, badminton, table tennis, and fitness-based movement, creating a unified digital environment for performance enhancement and wellness.

Founder and CEO Nimesh Patel highlighted the long-term mission. He said India is entering a defining era in sports, and Kabuni aims to inspire one billion people to move more and live healthier over the next decade. As part of its commitment, 1% of all Indian revenue will support grassroots sports initiatives.

Summing up, Ganguly said, “In India, cricket is not just a sport—it’s a religion. Kabuni is the world’s first digital ecosystem that captures real-world play through AI. It brings learning and play together and helps every child discover the athlete within.”
