Sony India has introduced two new home audio products under its BRAVIA Theatre lineup — the BRAVIA Theatre System 6 and the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6 — targeting Indian consumers who seek immersive, cinema-like sound experiences at home. Priced at ₹49,990 and ₹39,990 respectively, both products aim to offer high-quality surround sound with modern features and compatibility with BRAVIA televisions.
The BRAVIA Theatre System 6 is a 5.1-channel, 1000-watt sound system that includes wireless rear speakers and a dedicated subwoofer. Meanwhile, the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6 is a 3.1.2-channel soundbar that features upfiring speakers for height effects and a wireless subwoofer, providing a more compact yet immersive setup. Both systems support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X technologies for cinematic spatial audio.
Sony has integrated advanced proprietary sound enhancements such as the Vertical Surround Engine, S-Force PRO Front Surround, and Voice Zoom 3. These features are designed to enhance dialogue clarity, deliver multidimensional sound, and adapt audio output to the viewer’s environment. A Multi Stereo Mode on the Theatre System 6 spreads stereo sound across all channels, enhancing the immersive effect.
The systems are easily controlled via the BRAVIA Connect app or directly through BRAVIA TV remotes. Quick sound field adjustments and volume controls are available on-screen when paired with Sony TVs. Sony emphasized that the audio tuning has been specifically calibrated to suit Indian listening preferences, offering deeper bass and sharper vocals.
In addition to performance, Sony has paid attention to sustainability. Both products feature fabric made from recycled PET bottles and use reduced plastic in packaging. Accessibility has also been considered, with tactile indicators for the visually impaired and screen reader compatibility through the app. The BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6 will be available from 1 July 2025, and the BRAVIA Theatre System 6 from 3 July 2025 across Sony retail stores, online platforms, and major electronics retailers.
