NETGEAR & Riedel Communications Form Global Technology Partnership to Advance AV-over-IP and Broadcast Networking Solutions

NETGEAR has announced a strategic worldwide partnership with Riedel Communications, a renowned provider of media, broadcast, and live production technologies. The collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of AV-over-IP, next-gen broadcast infrastructure, and decentralized IP-based signal distribution using SMPTE ST 2110 standards.

As part of the partnership, Riedel will integrate and distribute NETGEAR’s M4350 series managed AV switches alongside its MediorNet MuoN A processing SFPs, enabling powerful ST 2110 gateway capabilities for broadcasters, live event operators, and commercial AV environments. This integration simplifies complex media workflows and delivers a highly reliable, scalable IP backbone for modern production ecosystems.

Enhancing IP-Based Broadcast & Live Production Workflows
The first phase of the partnership includes Riedel carrying NETGEAR’s M4350-16V4C Fully Managed Switch (VSM4320C) — a 25G/100G intelligent switch engineered for demanding AV-over-IP deployments. The switch supports SFP28 ports, 100G uplinks, and integrated Grandmaster/Boundary Clock functions, providing seamless timing and distribution critical for ST 2110 networks.

Riedel says the collaboration will allow production teams to deploy robust, streamlined, and interoperable IP signal distribution systems that significantly reduce setup complexity while improving reliability for remote production, sports broadcasting, entertainment venues, and corporate AV installations.

Industry Leaders Speak on the Partnership
“Partnering with NETGEAR allows us to offer a proven, high-performance networking backbone to complement our media-over-IP technologies. This is key to supporting evolving broadcast and AV workflows worldwide,” said Louis Caron, Senior Product Manager, Video at Riedel Communications.

NETGEAR echoed this vision, emphasizing the industry’s rapid shift from SDI to IP-based infrastructure.

“With the transition to IP accelerating across the broadcast market, integrators need reliable, easy-to-deploy solutions. We’re excited to expand our hardware and software roadmap to support Riedel’s cutting-edge applications,” said Richard Jonker, VP of Marketing & Business Development at NETGEAR.

Driving the Future of Broadcast & AV-over-IP Innovation
This partnership combines NETGEAR’s leadership in professional AV network switching with Riedel’s expertise in media infrastructure and IP production tools, offering powerful, future-ready solutions for the global broadcast and AV markets.

Together, the companies aim to support the next wave of innovation in live production, media transport, IP routing, and next-gen AV-over-IP systems across industries worldwide.
