WSO2 Launches Agent Manager to Help Enterprises Securely Govern and Scale AI Agents

WSO2

WSO2 has announced the beta launch of WSO2 Agent Manager, a new open-source platform designed to help enterprises securely manage, govern, and scale AI agents across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. The launch addresses growing concerns around AI governance, agent security, compliance, and operational control as organizations rapidly adopt agentic AI technologies.

“AI agents introduce a fundamentally new challenge. Their autonomy and probabilistic behavior make them powerful but also difficult to control. With WSO2 Agent Manager, we’re bringing agents into the enterprise fabric where they are no longer invisible processes, but identified, governed, accountable entities that can be securely operated at scale,” said Rania Khalaf, Chief AI Officer at WSO2.

WSO2 Agent Manager enables organizations to transform AI agents from isolated processes into fully governed and accountable entities within enterprise ecosystems. The platform provides AI identity management, policy enforcement, observability, and access control, ensuring AI agents operate securely and transparently across business workflows.

One of the key capabilities of the platform is federated AI agent management, allowing enterprises to monitor and control agents across multiple frameworks and infrastructures through a single dashboard. The solution also supports zero-trust security architecture, Kubernetes-native deployment, and real-time intervention capabilities to reduce operational risks.

The platform introduces centralized governance and compliance controls, enabling businesses to define policies for AI agents, large language models (LLMs), and integrated tools. Organizations can also gain deep visibility into AI agent behavior through advanced monitoring, tracing, and performance analytics powered by open standards such as OpenTelemetry and OpenAPI.

WSO2 Agent Manager is framework-agnostic and supports leading AI frameworks including LangGraph, CrewAI, and Ballerina. Released under the Apache 2.0 open-source license, the platform is designed to avoid vendor lock-in while giving enterprises full control over their AI infrastructure and technology stack.

As demand for enterprise AI governance, AI security, and scalable AI infrastructure continues to grow, WSO2’s latest offering positions itself as a critical solution for businesses looking to safely operationalize autonomous AI systems. The platform reflects the increasing need for responsible AI deployment, digital resilience, and secure AI lifecycle management in modern enterprise environments.
