Infoblox Completes Axur Acquisition

Infoblox

Aims to Strengthen AI-Powered Cybersecurity and Digital Risk Protection.

Infoblox has completed its acquisition of Axur, an AI-powered digital risk protection and external threat intelligence provider. The strategic acquisition strengthens Infoblox’s ability to deliver preemptive cybersecurity solutions that help organizations detect, disrupt, and block cyber threats before they impact business operations.

With the integration of Axur’s advanced capabilities, Infoblox is expanding its focus beyond traditional network security to address growing threats across the external attack surface, including phishing, brand impersonation, credential leaks, fraud campaigns, and malicious infrastructure operating on the dark web, social media platforms, and mobile applications.

As part of the acquisition, Infoblox is launching new Digital Risk Protection Services (DRPS) powered by AI and machine learning. The platform scans more than 40 million URLs daily to identify and validate cyber threats in real time. Using advanced threat detection, automated takedown mechanisms, and threat intelligence, organizations can respond faster to phishing attacks, executive impersonation, and brand abuse incidents.

“Infoblox is extending its leadership in preemptive security by expanding its ability to take down malicious infrastructure before it can be weaponized against enterprises. By combining Axur’s external threat discovery, takedown and threat intelligence with Infoblox’s DNS-based security and intelligence, we expand Infoblox’s preemptive protection beyond enterprises’ perimeter and into arenas like social media, app stores and the dark web,” said Scott Harrell, president and CEO of Infoblox.

The acquisition also lays the groundwork for Infoblox’s broader Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) strategy. This approach helps organizations continuously monitor, assess, and reduce cyber risks across their entire digital ecosystem, supporting stronger cyber resilience and proactive security operations.

As cybercriminals increasingly leverage artificial intelligence, phishing automation, and social engineering attacks, businesses face growing challenges in protecting digital assets and customer trust. The integration of Axur’s intelligence capabilities enhances Infoblox’s ability to provide earlier threat detection, improved attack attribution, and faster mitigation of emerging cybersecurity risks.

The move reflects rising enterprise demand for AI-driven cybersecurity, digital threat protection, and cloud security solutions amid accelerating digital transformation. By combining DNS-based security, external threat intelligence, and automated risk management, Infoblox aims to help organizations strengthen security posture across complex hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

With cyber threats becoming more sophisticated and globally distributed, the Infoblox-Axur combination positions the company as a stronger player in the rapidly growing cybersecurity and digital risk protection market.
