The roll out of mPass helps achieve NCA Compliance and 90% Drop in Credential Theft.
HID has announced a major cybersecurity breakthrough in Saudi Arabia through its partnership with Cerebra, a next-generation Saudi cybersecurity software provider. Together, the companies have developed mPass, an advanced passwordless Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication platform powered by HID’s industry-leading fingerprint readers, delivering stronger, compliant, and frictionless identity verification across Saudi organizations.
Enabled through HID’s authorized local integrator Alyam Tech, the deployment ensures top-tier implementation quality and seamless on-ground support across the Kingdom.
A Passwordless Authentication Platform Built for Saudi Cybersecurity Standards
The mPass Authentication Platform integrates HID’s certified fingerprint readers—including HID DigitalPersona 4500, HID DigitalPersona 5300, and HID EikonTouch TC510—to replace passwords with high-assurance biometric multi-factor authentication (MFA). The platform is engineered to defend against modern threats such as phishing, credential theft, insider misuse, and unauthorized system access, while aligning with strict national regulations, including the Saudi National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) framework.
Richard Bechalany, Regional Sales Manager for HID’s Biometric Identity Technology division, emphasized the importance of region-specific solutions. He said,
“Organizations in Saudi Arabia require cybersecurity technologies that meet strict national privacy and compliance standards. Our collaboration with AlYam Tech and Cerebra ensures secure, identity-centric authentication designed for a zero-trust ecosystem.”
Cerebra and HID Advance Seamless, Biometric-Driven Access
Highlighting the weaknesses of password-based systems Bassam Saif, Cybersecurity Product Director, Cerebra said, “Passwords remain the weakest link. With mPass and HID biometrics, we enable organizations to strengthen digital integrity while improving operational efficiency. This is enterprise-grade authentication built for high-stakes environments.”
Successful Deployment in a Major Saudi Government Institution
A high-profile Saudi government institution—responsible for delivering essential national services—recently implemented mPass as part of its digital transformation strategy. Facing challenges such as rising phishing attacks, password fatigue, and the need to meet NCA cybersecurity requirements, the organization selected mPass to modernize its identity security.
Key results achieved after full implementation:
Over 90% reduction in credential theft, driven by the elimination of password reuse
Full NCA cybersecurity compliance through biometric MFA and adaptive identity policies
70% decrease in password reset requests, dramatically improving user experience and productivity
Rapid adoption across mission-critical applications through intuitive single-touch login workflows
Yahya Al-Aidaroos, Executive Manager at AlYam Tech, stated, “Our collaboration ensures that global innovation meets local execution. The mPass rollout demonstrates how organizations can embrace passwordless authentication securely and efficiently.”
Powering Vision 2030 Through Identity Security Innovation
HID, Alyam Tech, and Cerebra are committed to expanding mPass across more government agencies, regulated industries, financial institutions, and critical infrastructure providers in Saudi Arabia. Their goal is to support the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 digital transformation objectives by enabling secure, efficient, and scalable identity verification for high-risk environments.
The partnership marks a major step toward building a zero-trust, passwordless future for Saudi organizations—strengthening national cybersecurity resilience and reducing identity-based threats across the Kingdom.
