Veeam Software has announced a major expansion of its long-standing partnership with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). The strengthened alliance introduces a new wave of integrated, next-generation data protection technologies designed to simplify hybrid cloud management, enhance workload security, and ensure enterprise-grade continuity across modern applications.
According to Veeam CRO John Jester, the collaboration addresses a core priority for global organisations. He said, “Trust, resilience, and availability are the new currency of business. Our expanded partnership with HPE gives customers the agility and confidence to protect, recover, and leverage their data wherever it resides.”
The enhanced partnership brings several powerful advancements tailored for enterprises modernising their IT and cloud environments:
1. Native Protection for HPE Morpheus VM Essentials (Beta)
Veeam has introduced a new native integration plug-in—now in beta and expected to launch widely in early 2026—enabling:
- Hypervisor-level image backups
- Secure protection for hybrid workloads
- Seamless recovery and workload mobility
Additionally, HPE Morpheus Enterprise Software container services have been certified as Veeam-ready, ensuring reliable data protection for containerised workloads.
2. HPE Private Cloud Business Edition + Veeam Data Platform
Enterprises can soon deploy HPE Private Cloud Business Edition with the Veeam Data Platform, offering:
- Unified data protection for VMware and VM Essentials
- Faster hybrid cloud deployment
- Simplified operations and centralised management
This eliminates fragmented, DIY backup tools and replaces them with an enterprise-strength, integrated protection ecosystem.
3. Breakthrough Storage Efficiency with HPE StoreOnce
Through the latest version of HPE StoreOnce Catalyst, Veeam now delivers:
- Up to 60:1 data reduction
- Dramatically faster restore speeds
- Unlimited incremental backups
- Reduced TCO and improved hybrid cloud economics
This unlocks new use cases for AI workloads, cloud backup tiers, disaster recovery, and ransomware-safe storage.
4. NVMe-Powered Backup for HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000
Veeam Data Platform now includes:
- Full NVMe support
- Faster snapshot-based backups
- Near-instant recovery for mission-critical applications
- New reference architectures offering end-to-end immutability
These enhancements provide a stronger defence against ransomware and catastrophic data loss.
5. New Cyber Resilience Services for Modern Enterprises
- Veeam and HPE are introducing two new joint services:
- Data Resilience & Security Posture Workshop
- Disaster Recovery Capability Maturity Analysis powered by the Veeam Data Resiliency Maturity Model (DRMM)
These services help enterprises strengthen cybersecurity posture, evaluate risks, and implement modern disaster recovery strategies.
HPE’s Patrick Osborne said, “Our continued alignment with Veeam removes friction and risk from hybrid cloud and modern application landscapes. Together, we’re delivering unmatched resiliency, operational simplicity, and innovation.”
With cyber threats rising and hybrid cloud becoming the backbone of global operations, the Veeam–HPE partnership is now positioned as one of the industry’s most powerful forces driving secure, scalable, and intelligent data resilience for the AI era.
