Quick commerce unicorn Zepto has appointed Rachit Ranjan as its Chief Public Policy Officer, effective May 2025, to lead its policy, regulatory, and government affairs functions. The move comes as Zepto scales rapidly across India and aims to deepen its engagement with the government and regulatory bodies to foster responsible innovation and build socio-economic value.
Ranjan brings over 15 years of experience in public policy, government advisory, legal, and regulatory affairs, having held leadership roles at prominent tech-driven firms such as Dream11, WhatsApp, JUUL Labs, and Uber. His appointment marks a strategic step for Zepto, aligning its growth with principles of trust, transparency, and inclusive development.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Ranjan said he is excited to join Zepto during a pivotal phase for the company and the quick commerce sector. He emphasized the importance of working with the government and stakeholders to help Zepto contribute to India’s tech-driven future.
