Nutanix Launches NC2 on Google Cloud: AI-Ready Hybrid Multicloud Infrastructure Now Generally Available

Nutanix

Nutanix has announced the General Availability (GA) of Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) on Google Cloud, marking a major advancement in hybrid multi cloud infrastructure and enterprise cloud modernization. This milestone reinforces Nutanix’s commitment to freedom of choice, enabling organizations to seamlessly run, manage, and modernize applications, data, and AI workloads across on-premises environments, edge locations, and public cloud platforms, now including Google Cloud.

As enterprises face increasingly complex IT environments, many are looking to balance the scalability and innovation of the public cloud with the control and performance of on-premises infrastructure. NC2 on Google Cloud addresses this challenge by delivering a consistent hybrid cloud platform that accelerates application migration, simplifies day-to-day operations, and enables future-ready innovation—without the need to refactor or re-architect existing applications.

Unlike traditional managed cloud services, NC2 is a software-defined solution, giving enterprises full control over their deployments and data while eliminating the operational burden of managing physical data centers. This approach empowers IT teams to move workloads to the cloud faster while maintaining enterprise-grade security, governance, and performance.

At the core of NC2 on Google Cloud are Google Cloud’s Z3 and C4 Bare Metal instances powered by Titanium. These Google Compute Engine (GCE) bare metal servers are purpose-built for high-performance, storage-intensive, and mission-critical workloads. By running the Nutanix Cloud Platform (NCP) directly on dedicated physical servers within a customer’s Google Cloud environment, NC2 delivers a differentiated approach to cloud virtualization. Enterprises can run demanding applications and databases with the performance, resilience, and reliability associated with Nutanix, while fully leveraging Google Cloud’s elasticity, scalability, and global infrastructure.

“Nutanix Cloud Clusters on Google Cloud is more than just another cloud offering—it’s a catalyst for real business transformation. It provides organizations with a fast, flexible way to extend into the cloud, scale globally, and modernize at their own pace—without added complexity. By unifying on-premises and cloud environments under a single operating model and enabling seamless access to Google Cloud’s advanced AI and analytics capabilities, NC2 ensures businesses are ready not only for today’s challenges, but for tomorrow’s opportunities as well,” said Hady Salameh, Senior Regional Sales Lead, SSA, Middle East, Egypt & Turkey at Nutanix.

Rapid Global Expansion with Google Cloud’s Worldwide Footprint
In today’s digital economy, business agility depends on the ability to deploy infrastructure quickly and close to customers. NC2 on Google Cloud leverages Google’s expansive global cloud network, enabling organizations to scale infrastructure into new regions in hours rather than months. This capability helps businesses improve application performance, meet data sovereignty and regulatory requirements, and respond faster to market demands.

With the ability to deploy a full Nutanix cluster in just a couple of hours, IT teams can bypass lengthy hardware procurement cycles and significantly accelerate time to value. At GA, NC2 on Google Cloud will be available in 17 global Google Cloud regions, with additional regions planned over time. The solution will also be accessible through the Google Cloud Marketplace, allowing customers to consume Nutanix software using their existing Google Cloud spending commitments.
