Plans to Train 12 Million Professionals in AI and SAP Skills by 2030.
SAP has announced a major expansion of its global learning ecosystem as part of its commitment to equip 12 million people with AI-ready skills by 2030. The initiative is designed to help professionals, enterprises, and partners build future-ready SAP skills in an increasingly AI-driven business environment.
As part of this expansion, SAP is extending access to high-quality, instructor-led SAP training through new strategic partnerships and an enlarged network of authorised training providers. From 2026 onwards, SAP’s partner-managed delivery model for SAP Learning Class courses will offer greater flexibility, wider geographic reach, and multilingual training options. This will enable organisations and individuals to gain practical, implementation-ready expertise aligned with real-world business needs.
India Emerges as a Key AI and SAP Talent Hub
India plays a central role in SAP’s global skilling strategy, accounting for 26% of SAP’s worldwide learner base. With rapid digital transformation, cloud adoption, and enterprise AI deployment, India currently has more than 25,000 open roles requiring SAP expertise across consulting, development, and enterprise technology. Companies such as Deloitte, KPMG, Infosys, and Maruti Suzuki are actively hiring SAP-skilled professionals, highlighting strong demand for industry-ready training.
Since 2022, SAP has reached over 4 million learners globally, expanding its learning journeys from just seven to more than 400. SAP has also transformed its certification framework, introducing performance-based certifications that test real-world skills using AI tools like SAP Joule. Today, 65 SAP certifications—representing 61% of the portfolio—have shifted to this hands-on format, with full adoption planned by mid-2026.
By scaling access to AI-enabled SAP training, certifications, and enterprise upskilling programs, SAP aims to strengthen global workforce readiness and support talent markets like India in shaping the future of digital transformation and enterprise innovation.
