New AI Tools, UI Changes, and Features for Android and iOS.

Google is rolling out a major redesign of its Gemini AI app for both Android and iOS, introducing a modern interface, improved navigation, and enhanced access to AI-powered tools. The update aims to deliver a more intuitive and visually engaging experience as competition in the AI assistant and generative AI space intensifies.

According to the recent reports, the redesigned Gemini app features a refreshed homepage, smoother animations, and an upgraded chat interface designed to improve usability and interaction. A key highlight is the introduction of a unified AI tools section, allowing users to access advanced capabilities such as image generation, video creation, music tools, Canvas, Deep Research, and guided learning features from a single location.

The new interface includes a pill-shaped input box for prompts, offering a cleaner and more modern design. Users can quickly access voice input and Gemini Live features, while a new “plus” menu enables easy access to files, photos, camera inputs, and saved content. These enhancements position Gemini as a powerful AI productivity and content creation tool for both personal and professional use.

Google has also updated the homepage with a personalized greeting and dynamic background visuals, creating a more engaging user experience. The navigation system has been streamlined, with the AI model selector now available as a dropdown in the top-left corner, making it easier to switch between different Gemini models. The account management options have been repositioned for better accessibility, and icons have been redesigned with a cleaner, more minimal look.

The rollout of the updated Gemini app has already begun for some iOS users, while a broader release for Android and global users is expected soon. This redesign aligns with Google’s broader strategy to strengthen its position in AI assistants, generative AI platforms, and mobile AI applications.

With increasing demand for AI chatbots, smart assistants, and AI content generation tools, the Gemini app update reflects Google’s focus on delivering a unified, scalable, and user-friendly AI ecosystem. As AI adoption continues to grow, these enhancements are expected to improve productivity, creativity, and everyday digital interactions for users worldwide.
